    This Department is the governing agency on building construction and use.

    Mahoning County Children Services responsible for investigating all reports of abuse and/or neglect regarding children.

  3. Department of Job & Family Services

    We offer help and hope to individuals and families in Mahoning County.

  4. Dog Warden

    The office of the Dog Warden is committed to providing protective services for county residents in accordance with the 955 sections of the Ohio Revised Code with compassion and professionalism to insure the safety and well being of the community.

  5. GIS

    The GIS Department primarily provides services for the Auditors office, Engineers office and the Sanitary Engineers office.

  6. Healthy Homes & Lead Hazard Control

    Mahoning County Lead-Based Paint Hazard Control Program aims to reduce and/or eliminate lead hazards in low-to-very-low income housing in a total of 11 high-risk zip codes.

  7. Recycling - Green Team

    The Green Team is the informal name for the Mahoning County Solid Waste Management District, tasked with the implementation of the waste reduction strategies such as recycling, reuse, source reduction, and composting; litter prevention, and related activities as listed in the ratified Solid Waste Plan.

    The Planning Commission to make information available to citizens and developers that assist in making sound land use decisions.

  9. Sanitary Engineering

    Sanitary Engineering provides sanitary sewer service to over 40,000 households and businesses, and maintains water service to over 1,200 customers through the Jackson-Milton Water District.

  10. Soil & Water Conservation District

    The Conservation District takes focuses available resources to meet the needs of the local land user for conservation of soil, water, and related resources.
