Mahoning County Bond Rating

“The Mahoning County Board of Commissioners working with all Elected Officials in the County has made tremendous strides over the years to improve the financial, and fiscal stability of the County” David Ditzler, President stated. “Since 1972 from the very first Moody’s rating, we are at the highest credit rating ever”.

Recently, Moody’s Investor Services upgraded The County of Mahoning, Ohio Limited Tax General Obligations from A1 to Aaa3 and affirmed the Aaa3 rating of the Sanitary Sewer Revenue Bonds, with the assistance from Omar Ganoom, Managing Director of Boenning & Scattergood Inc.

The new rating will allow the County strong access to the capital markets and will assist in obtaining better interest rates in the future.
