How to Adopt a Dog

Look at the cute pictures here on this web site and then go directly to the kennel to see the dogs. Mahoning County Dog Adoptions

Kennel hours are

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 11:00am-4:00pm, and

Wednesday from 11:00am-7:00pm.

The cost of adopting a dog from the pound is initially $50.00. This cost includes the first shot, dog license, and deworming medicine.

If the dog is already spayed or neutered that is the only cost; however, most are not and they must be spayed or neutered prior to being released to your care.  So after paying the pound fee, we take the dog to one of three vets to do the surgery.  We will make an appointment with the next available time with one of the vets.  The cost of the surgery and a rabies vaccine is $80.00.

The 3 Vets are located at:

Donald K Allen Veterinary Clinic
4501 Market St
Youngstown, OH
Phone:  (330) 782-7333

Angels for Animals

You will pick up the new member of your family at the Veterinarian’s Clinic and pay them the $80.00.  Enjoy the wonderful, new, 4-footed member of your family.
