The Mahoning County Communicator

Child Support Enforcement Division

What we do:

The Mahoning County Child Support Enforcement Agency (CSEA) was established in 1988 under the administrative control of the Board of County Commissioners and the program supervision of the Ohio Department of Human Services and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

CSEA is charged with the primary responsibility of finding absent parents for the purpose of establishing or enforcing child support orders; legally establishing the parent-child relationship for children born out of wedlock; enforcing delinquent court-ordered child and spousal support obligations; reviewing and adjusting child support obligations in light of changes in circumstances of the absent parent and custodial parent; and, collecting and disbursing all support payments received to the proper individuals within two business days.
