Honorable Judge Mark A. Belinky
Probate Judge Mark Belinky is a lifelong area resident. Judge Belinky attended the Youngstown City Schools, graduating high school from the Rayen School. Judge Belinky received his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Ohio University, summa cum laude, with honors in government. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh. Judge Belinky studied international law in Rome, Italy.
Judge Belinky started his legal career by clerking for Judge Joseph E. O’Neill of the 7th District Court of Appeals. He joined the law firm of Rigelhaupt & Rigelhaupt and had an extensive 29 year probate practice prior to taking the bench. Judge Belinky was also an assistant Mahoning County Prosecutor.
Judge Belinky is well known for his service to families with special needs children and disabled veterans. He is active in the community, having served as President of the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Kiwanis Club and the Community Relations Council. Judge Belinky has also been involved with the Ulster Project, the Martin Luther King Community Workshop, the Greater Youngstown Italian Fest, YMCA, Butler Institute of American Art, Organizacion Civica y Cultural Hispana Americana, Inc., Stambaugh Pillars and the Irish Gathering of the Clans.
Judge Belinky resides in Boardman with his wife, Cynthia O’Neill Belinky. Judge Belinky has four children: First Lieutenant Todd Belinky of Arlington, Virginia, Rachel Belinky of Augusta, Georgia, and Daniel and Sarah Belinky who are at home.
