Mahoning County Treasurer

The Treasurer is an elected official.
Lisa Antonini has been rising through the ranks of the Mahoning County Treasurer's office since July 2000. As the county's Chief Deputy Treasurer, she was responsible for management of the county's investment portfolio, office accounting, payroll, purchases, employee scheduling and various day-to-day operations. She became Treasurer March 5, 2007.
Antonini has been involved with Lien Forward Ohio Regional Council of Governments since its inception. The purpose of this program is to return vacant, tax-delinquent land to productive use. Lien Forward Ohio evolved from the Treasurer's Land Reutilization Program, which was created to address problems associated with thousands of empty, abandoned parcels throughout the county. As Treasurer, she is president of Lien Forward Ohio's board of directors.
All county treasurers in Ohio are appointed to a number of boards: the Board of Revision, Board; the Microfilming Board; and the Automatic Data Processing Board, which approves purchases and operation of all data processing equipment. Antonini earns continuing education creditshours in treasurer's, auditor’s and government finance workshops on a yearly basis.
Antonini was a former member of MahoningCounty's Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services Board, where she served for eight years, a former member of the Community Action Council, and she is an experienced grant writer. She was a county Drug Court coordinator for two years and has assisted in economic development in the City of Youngstown. She is a 1987 graduate of UrsulineHigh School and a 1992 graduate of YoungstownStateUniversity, where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in economics. She attends Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Youngstown.
