July 5, 2006 - Lake Milton will Soon Have Public Water and Sanitary Sewers
|
After 20+ years of asking, five years of planning and an approximate $ 16 million dollars later, the installation of Public Water and Sanitary Sewer service to the properties surrounding Lake Milton is close to completion. To date, all of the waterline projects have been completed with the only remaining item being miscellaneous restoration of properties along the routing of the waterlines. The status of construction with reference to the sanitary sewers has the majority of the mainline work completed leaving the completion of the five additional pump stations. I mprovements to the water system included the construction of the North Jackson elevated water storage tank and approximately seven miles of new waterlines, and an upgrade to the Webb Road water booster station. Improvements to the sanitary sewer system included the installation of approximately nine miles of sanitary sewers and five new sanitary pump stations.
