The Mahoning County Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services Board Annual Holiday Luncheon, Friday, December 7, 2007, 12:00 noon, at the Holiday Inn, Boardman, Ohio. The luncheon will include award presentations for the following categories:
The Doyle O. Houston Excellence in Service Award - in recognition of a volunteer that has, through his/her actions, distinguished him/herself in service and support of substance abuse treatment and prevention services in Mahoning County.
The Professional of the Year Award - in recognition of an employee in the Mahoning County network of alcohol and drug addiction service providers that has, through his/her actions, distinguished him/herself in service and support of substance abuse treatment and prevention services in Mahoning County.
2nd Annual Red Ribbon Week Poster Contest Winners - Grades K through 12 participated in a county-wide, alcohol, drug and tobacco abuse prevention poster contest supporting Red Ribbon Week (October 23rd thru 28th). One winner from each grade level, their teacher and a guest will be at the luncheon where they will be recognized and awarded prizes. Copies of the winning posters will be on display and will be placed on WRTA buses in the spring.
