The newly formed Mahoning County Convention and Visitors Bureau is responsible for marketing and promoting Youngstown, Mahoning County, and our region as a wonderful place to visit. We provide information and guidance to those planning conventions, meetings, reunions, organized tours, or just a fun weekend away. Regardless of your interests, we can help you tailor an experience you won’t forget.

GATEWAY TO THE HISTORIC WESTERN RESERVE

Dating back to the earliest days of the Connecticut Western Reserve, Youngstown has been the “gateway” to this area so deep in heritage and tradition. It was the first populated settlement as people moved west to seek new opportunities. The rich blend of ethnic and cultural groups is what made this area (and much of our country) so great. Today, we are still the gateway to discovery of this heritage. We serve as the ideal “hub” for any visit and can provide all the information, ideas, planning, and packages you might want. From Mahoning County we can send you out on a variety of daytrips or multi-day excursions …either on your own or with a group tour.

Visit beautiful gardens, hike woodland trails, take in the fall foliage, bicycle through parks and paths. Tour unique wineries, wind through roads with covered bridges, experience the beauty and simplicity of Amish farm country. If golf is your passion we can introduce you to a trail of public courses ranked among the best in the country. You don’t have to go to Pinehurst to play a Donald Ross Signature course, we have one right here in the Mill Creek Metropark… and it’s ranked in the top 25 nationally by Golf Digest!
