Current Projects:
· Integration of the National Incident Management Strategy in to plans and operations (NIMS)
· Training of all Safety Service Officers in the National Strategy National Strategy
· Facilitating a potential Communications merger with the City of Youngstown and Trumbull County
· Upgrading the County Emergency Operations Plan
· Implementing a wireless 9-1-1 program for the County
· Installation of an Interoperable Communications system
· Conduct functional exercises to test local capabilities
· Coordinate training for Amateur Radio Operators for disaster operations
· Installation of 5 more outdoor sirens
· Increased public Education
· Facilitate and coordinate training for special operations teams.
· Development of a long range county-wide communications plan
· Develop and enhance use of GIS systems for emergencies
