Household Hazardous Wastes
The Green Team conducts a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day annually. At these events, residents can dispose of oil-based paint (still in liquid form), pesticides, automotive fluids and batteries, and other types of household wastes not accepted at the curb or at Drop-Off Sites. PAINTS
Remember to purchase only as much paint as you need to complete a project. Unused oil-based paint may be recycled at The Green Team's Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day.
Latex paint is no longer accepted for collection. To dispose of unused latex paint, dry the paint using kitty litter or sand. Remove lids and place latex paint cans that are empty or contain dried paint in your trash.
