Planned Projects:
Dual diagnosis project with the Mahoning County Mental Health Department and the Mahoning County Board of MRDD
Short Term and Long Term Plans:
By state law, each board of mrdd is required to hold an annual meeting during which goals and objectives are set. This meeting is advertised in the legal section of the local paper and the public is invited to attend. This meeting takes place each June, usually the third Monday, at Leonard Kirtz School. During this planning meeting goals and objectives are set forth for the coming year. The following June these goals and objectives are reviewed and new goals and objectives are established. The Ohio Department of MRDD Accreditation Team reviews the MCBMRDD every one (1) to four (4) years to assure standards are being met and assist us in improving the quality of our existing system..
New Services:
The Mahoning County Board of MRDD have over 25 goals for the 2005-2006 year. It is our hope these goals enable us to develop and perform our services to our individuals in the best manner possible within the budget we must maintain.
