Mission Statement:

 

“In conformity with Mahoning County’s Mission Statement, the Sanitary Engineering Department, for all customers of the Metropolitan Sewer District and Sanitary AgentMCresidents and businesses of Mahoning County will deliver quality service, Promote public health, safety and work towards the preservation of the general well being of the community, especially in areas of the environment. The department is committed to assisting the community in economic development through responsible planned use of the sanitary sewer system. The department supports and encourages community self reliance and responsibility while serving as a model employer.”

 

What We Do:

 

We provide treatment of Wastewater and Maintain the Sanitary Sewers for eleven (11) of the fourteen townships (no service in Berlin, Green or Smith (service provided by Alliance)) comprising the unincorporated areas of Mahoning County. We also provide Wastewater treatment for the City of Campbell, Poland Village, Craig Beach Village, and New Middletown Village. We have agreements to provide Waste Water Treatment for the City of Canfield and portions of Mineral Ridge in Trumbull County.

The Sanitary Engineering Dept is fully funded by User and Permit Fees.
