The objective of FDTC is to provide a therapeutic, strength-based program that addresses issues which include sobriety, mental health, housing, and parenting to keep participants in compliance with their Mahoning County Children Services case plan. This is accomplished by regular contact with the Court and intervention, enforcement of Court Orders through incentives or sanctions in a timely and effective manner.
The levels of participation are individually determined by participant behaviors, choices and case situation. Participants may be required to complete a chemical dependency assessment and/or a mental health assessment before admission into FDTC. They then proceed through 3 different phases until completion of the program ends in graduation.
The ultimate goal of each participant is to live a clean and sober life as well as become a clean and sober parent.
