"The mission of the Mahoning County Recorder's Office is to maintain the permanent records of real property and serves as the keeper and protector of these vital records of county government. The Recorders Office is dedicated to protecting and preserving the integrity of all recorded instruments and committed by law and obligation to their proper indexing and filing. The Recorders Office is dedicated to providing quality service to all citizens and are committed to the highest standards of professionalism."

What We Do

The Mahoning County Recorder's Office is the official land records office for all real estate located in Mahoning County. Our records contain fascinating historic facts and details. Documents in the Mahoning County Recorder's Office date back to the early 1800s and are available for viewing on site. You can search records on line with electronic indexes beginning in January 1985 to present. All records prior to 1985 can be viewed during regular office hours of Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. in the Mahoning County Recorder's Office. Records are located in the Mahoning County Court House at:

Source of Revenue
The Recorder’s Office is primarily funded by the General fund and partially funded by User Fees.

User Fee
During the Current Fiscal Year because of the current financial condition of Mahoning County, the Recorder's Office is using User Fee dollars to assist General Fund operations. User Fees are collected per document and are intended for technology and equipment upgrades and maintenance of records.
