Participation in Video-visitation is a privilege, not a right. Participants (visitors and inmates) are expected to conduct themselves in an appropriate fashion, as defined below, at all times during a video visit.
The Mahoning County Justice Center reserves the right to deny, cancel, suspend or terminate a video visit prior to and during a visitation session. MCJC shall enforce penalties and/or sanctions against further visits without refund.
Video Visits cannot be scheduled during the pods recreation time. If a Video Visit is scheduled during the pods recreation time the visit will be cancelled without notice and no refund will be provided. Housing Unit Recreation Schedule
Video Visitation Rules
All video visitation must be approved at least 24 hours in advance.
•Participants must remain seated during the video visit.
•Any additional electronic devices, such as, but not limited to cellphones, tablets, cameras or recording devices must be off and may not be utilized for any reason during the video visit.
•All clothing must remain in place. Partial exposure or nudity is prohibited.
•Offensive, loud or disruptive behavior and/or language is prohibited and may result in disciplinary sanctions.
•Visitors who knowingly violate court orders shall not be permitted visitation privileges.
•Any damage to property or other criminal activity will be prosecuted.
•Use of the video visitation system constitutes consent to monitoring and recording the visit.
•You may have no more than two (2) 20 minute video visits per day.
•Only visitors registered and logged for a specific visit are allowed to be part of the video visitation. The attempt to allow any other party to engage in the visitation is prohibited.
•The only person(s) permitted in view of the off-site camera is the registered visitors. Persons under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
•Use of video visitation system constitutes consent to this recording and monitoring
Any violation of the above rules will constitute misconduct and may result in penalties and/or sanctions against further visits, without refund.
Changes to Inmate Telephone Service
Coming September 2019 the inmate telephone service for Mahoning County is changing. The new provider will be Securus Technologies. Securus Technologies offers convenient calling account options for friends & family.
