When applying you must bring:

- Training Certificate (Training certificates are valid up to three years from class completion) Certificate must attest applicant has met Ohio training requirements for Concealed Handgun License
- Prior Issued Ohio Conceal Carry Permit - Permits can be renewed at any point prior to expiration date and any time after expiration date. A new class is not required should your license be expired.
- Completed Application
- Passport Photo w/receipt - Photo must be less than 30 days old.
- Valid Ohio Driver’s license or Valid Ohio Identification Card
Concealed Handgun Permit application fees:
New CHL License Application
- New license (resident of Ohio for 5+ years) - $67
- New license (resident of Ohio less than 5 years) - $77
- Photo can be taken for an additional $15
Renewal CHL License Application
- Renewal (resident of Ohio for 5+ years) - $50
- Renewal (resident of Ohio less than 5 years) - $60
- Photo can be taken for an additional $15
- A renewal license can be done at any point prior to expiration date and any time after expiration date. A new class is not required should your license be expired.
House Bill 614 for Ohio Concealed Handgun License:- If your license is scheduled to expire between March 9, 2020 and June 30, 2021, the expiration date is extended by 90 days or until June 30, 2021, whichever is later.
- Until June 30, 2021, you can apply for a license or renew a license at ANY sheriff office in Ohio. You are not limited to your home county or an adjacent county.
